I’m sure you are wondering why I chose this name? What can be the precious gift that our ancestors have left us and how can we use it in our everyday lives?
Well, that gift is your body, the perfect biological machine which has been polished by millions of years.
Yes, your body is perfect.
It has all the potential for excellent health and impressive mental and physical performance.
During the 2.5 million years of evolution, humans had to face the natural selection force of harsh environments and endure continuous physical challenges. Because of extreme weather conditions and occasional famines, only the fittest, smartest and healthiest were able to survive. These excellent humans are your ancestors. They have developed a highly efficient energy storage mechanism, so their body was able to provide steady physical and mental performance even when food was scarce. Few know, but the human brain was larger before the advent of civilization, and people were probably more intelligent and healthier in every way than we are now. (The low life expectancy was caused mostly by predators or fatal accidents and not by illnesses).
So, how is it possible that you don’t experience any of this?
You may feel sick and exhausted, and often you are overweight despite even the most tedious weight loss attempts. Well, this is not your fault at all.
It all started about 10,000 years ago when the first civilizations emerged. For the first time in history, a large number of people were able to live together. The abundance of food has enabled specializations and the appearance of professions. There was unprecedented growth in technology and culture. But there was also a price pay: life expectancy dropped drastically, illnesses showed up, and all of this was mainly due to the extreme change in diet and lifestyle. The predominantly animal-based diet was replaced by a grain and carbohydrate diet, which our body was never prepared for and it still cannot handle it well.
It has triggered hormonal changes that locked the human body in the energy storage mode, while it did not allow any access to the stored energy. This is the main reason for the current epidemic of obesity.
There's a solution and I'm ready to help.
